Fujian Jingwei Newfiber S&T Co., Ltd. is a modern large-scale differentiated chemical fiber production enterprise, established by Fujian Jingwei Conglomerate in September 2010 for further expansion of the industrial chain. The company is located in Yuanhong Investment Zone of Fuqing City in Fujian Province, with an area of 1027.4 mus and registered capital of 680 million yuan.
The company adopts high-capacity melting direct spinning technology which is the representative of the world's advanced technology, imports the main equipment from Germany’s Neumag Company and Barmag Company, and is engaged in the development, production and sales of high-tech differentiated polyester fiber products such as microfiber, shaped fiber and multi-composite fiber. The main products include polyester chips, superfine differentiated polyester staple fiber and POY, FDY and DTY polyester filament yarn, high-strength polyester retardant fibers and colored polyester filament, etc.
The project under construction is a differentiated polyester chemical fiber production line with an annual output of 1.2 million tons. The total investment is 5.8 billion yuan. The project will be implemented in three phases.
Phrase I project has an investment of about 2.3 billion yuan, which is further divided into two phases. The first phase is to complete the construction of a polyester direct spinning polyester staple fiber product plant with an annual output of 200,000 tons, a chemical fiber research and development center, utilities engineering (including raw materials pipelines, raw material tank built-up areas, 110KV substation, integrated power and water supply stations, sewage treatment station and boiler room), office buildings, experts buildings, staff dormitories, etc. It has been completed in July 2013. The second phase is to complete the melt direct spinning polyester filament yarn production plant construction with an annual output of 200,000 tons, which is scheduled for production in December 2014.
Phase II will complete the production plant construction of melt direct spinning high-strength polyester retardant fiber and colored polyester silk, with an annual output of 400,000 tons, which is scheduled for production in December 2016 .
Phase III will be a reasonable industrial layout according to the market situation and the company's strategy, with coordinated development with the conglomerate’s downstream businesses.
The project lays emphasis on the technology application, environmental protection and energy conservation ever since the construction began. All construction documents have been approved. After the project is fully operational, the annual output value is expected to reach 20 billion yuan or more, with more than 5,000 extra jobs offered. The project will drive the development of related industries such as chemical raw materials, textile machinery, packaging, ports, logistics, services, etc. near the project site, and will help to improve the overall influence of Yuanhong Investment Zone of Fuqing City as well.
The company is located in state-level industrial park - Yuanhong Investment Zone of Fuqing City, and is separated only by a strip of water to Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone. The site is the starting point of Pingtan Bridge and the high-speed railway. It is 80 sea miles away from Taiwan, 395 sea miles away from Honkong, 80 sea miles away from Taiwan Hsinchu Harbor, 50 sea miles away from Jiangyin Haror, 54 sea miles away from Mawei Harbor, 150 sea miles away from Xiamen Harbor and 447 sea miles away from Shanghai Harbor respectively, only 12 kilometers away from the center of Fuqing City, 29 kilometers away from Fuzhou Changle International Airport, 19 kilometers away from the Fuzhou-Xiamen Highway, and about 15 kilometers away from Fuqing station in the Fuzhou-Xiamen Railway. The proposed construction of Changping Highway and Beijing-Taipei High-Speed Railway are planned to have liaison sites or stations in the site. The advantages of the site are remarkable, and the traffic is very convenient.
